First time on a site finally talking about this subject. I look so forward to being in bed all day..is that normal? I order peapod so I dont have to go to the store. I do the least amount expected here at the house, but everyone thinks im in the game. Getting kids off to school, lunches, laundry all done, but as soon as it is, im back in the bed. Until its time to pick them up, do dinner, homework, bathtime, hoping the night comes soon so i can get some rest.

am i just lazy?

or really depressed? Never had bad thoughts, serious ones..but just dont want to really enter life.

I don't think you are lazy. You are truly tired. I don't know if you have depression. There is a depression test on the forum. It measures depression by your answers. Perhaps a good start would be to go to a medical doc and see if there is a medical health reason for your tiredness. Something like hypothyroidism can make you feel tired all the time. If you rule out a physical health problem then you can figure out if there is a depression issue.

Welcome to pc. Oh, and I really like your purple/blue flower.

I have tons of non mentally ill friends who do the exact same thing. I wouldnt call it laziness - just inactive perhaps and low on motivation after dealing with children and chores. Maybe some nice self nurture stuff will have you feeling a bit better. A foot spa, facial, meditation or yoga etc. How much do you exercise? The less you do the less energy and motivation you have. (I struggle with that at times too and I dont even have kids to deal with).

The lying down part sounds worrisome to me. I mean, as opposed to sitting on the couch, say. Do you get tired when you're standing (like grocery shopping or standing in a line) but not so much when you're walking at a good pace?

What you say about not wanting to really enter life does sound a bit like depression.

Any chance you can get a medical checkup?
