Hi! So i'm just a normal teen girl, having trouble with her own thoughts.
At school i'm friends with everyone, i have lots of friends that love me and care about me. But the thing is.. I feel like i'm TOO nice sometimes. Also I've experienced a lot of traumas in life, it makes me hate expressing my 'sad' and 'angry' feeling to people. They think i'm always happy and okay, but actually i'm not. Some people took advantage of me, they made jokes out of me and then laugh because they think i'm gonna be okay. It hurts living this kind of life, i hate that i was taken for granted by my ex-best friends.. I just want to be respected. Sometimes i got angry for a moment and they will just go like nothing happened, but when i'm okay again they started to make fun of me again. It's making me crazy. |

I myself was depressed when I was as young as you are. The thing is, nice people get badly treated, and that's for reasons unknown. I was bullied, made fun of, but then I went insanely angry and just started hitting those bullies to leave me alone, and it worked, but I don't want you to do that. Use your mature rationality and calmness to stop them.
I remember it driving me crazy as well, but then I just didn't care anymore, even though words hurt more than fists, but I chose to ignore them. |

Hang in there.... Adolescence is a challenging period for nearly everyone... Distance yourself from individuals who don't respect you and your feelings... You'll get through this soon enough and you will move onto and focus on new life experiences and endeavors.... Change is the one constant in everyone's lives....

I'm a teen myself and yes, it's very normal. These teen years there's just a lot of things going on in our lives that can be stressful. For example school, friends, hormons and other things are simple reasons that can cause a depression. However, your friends and people around you should treat you fairly and not make fun of you and then expect you to be fine with that just because you're 'too nice' sometimes. You could maybe try to show the people being mean and making fun of you that it hurts? You could for example say something like "that's actually offending me" if they say anything that you think hurts you.

Being a teenager is one of the hardest times we have to go through. We make lots of mistakes during this time in our lives. I know that I made a lot of bad choices when I was young leading to depression and anxiety, along with questioning who I really was. Thank goodness that most of us make our way through it, learning critical lessons. If however, it gets to hard for you, ask for help.
