I was on meds years ago when my mother died around this time of year. I only cried once....when I read something she had written (we weren't "close"...). Now all that unexpressed grief, "self blame" and depression is kicking my ***

(when my mother died I was seeing a T... But this T reminded me of the step ***** )

(btw I can't take meds now due to severe allergies..)

Hi Fuzzy, even if you weren't close an anniversary like that coming up can still trigger a mix of memories/emotions, right?? And not only about your mother, and not only about her passing away........I can understand it must be hard for you, right now
But certainly that self-blame, although feelings of guilt can be natural in grief, that's one feeling you don't need to be feeling under the circumstances, right??!! She owed you!!
It might not make that self-blame go away, but if you can just remember it, hey??
And meds, well it would be good if they were an option but as they're not........with grief, with some of the things you're still trying to cope with...........well talking with a professional can sometimes be helpful too. Although if that's not an option........well I know it's not the same but we're here for you.

Grief has a way of making life miserable even after we think we have put it behind us.

I hope that you can get past it soon.
