This is my first posting so will try and keep it simple. Psychiatrist prescribed 200 (down to 100) mgs. of Zoloft to help with anxiety and depression. Feeling much better although mornings are still difficult with feelings of hopelessness etc. that fade about 5 pm in afternoon. Not sure if a change in meds would help or maybe this is something I will just have to put up with. Anyone else have this issue?

That was my experience when I had a major episode of depression a year and a half ago. My mood sank in the morning, hit bottom around noon and got better by late afternoon. In the evening, I felt semi-normal.

Morning is often hardest in depression. Whether you need your medicine reviewed depends on how long you've been on it, why it was reduced and whether you are currently improving, worse or the same. It can take 6weeks to see benefit from meds. Try t keep the prospect of feeling better next evening at the top of your mind in the morning, it will help you get through knowing there will be a little respite.

I'm the opposite. I feel best in the morning.

That is pretty much my experience as well. Thanks.
