everytime i send a long post puter kicks me off. so crying, depressed, paranoid, moody heart in pit of stomach, feel everyoneis avoiding me. hubby away for 3 days onmy own, dreading it so sad today cry cry cry.

I don't know why that happens jinny
 I know it happens to me with Internet Explorer and if I hit the back page, it's gone. I ALWAYS use mozilla firefox. I have no difficulties with it, and if I mess up, I just go back and everything I typed is still there. It's well worth the download and the only browser I use. Love, KD

got rid of cookies crap and viruses and installed adaware thanks to heyjoe, quicker, but still booting me out of forums and pms

I have Firefox... and have hit the back button to correct one little thing and poof.
Learning to copy first if I catch myself... just to be safe. Not so easy to remember in the rush of it all. |

Any software you use online you should be wary of in terms of writing long posts into a box (which can take 10, 20 or even 30 minutes to compose), and then hoping for the best. 99% of the time, it will go through without a problem. But that 1% of the time will be the most frustrating.
Whenever I know I want to write something more than a paragraph long, I compose it in Word or a word processor on my computer. Then when I'm done and see it's exactly as I wanted it, I copy and paste it into the box. That way I always have a copy of the post if something goes wrong posting it online... Sorry for your troubles, though! Wish computers/Internet/websites were more reliably reliable! DocJohn

Great idea DocJohn....I was going to suggest the same thing. That's how I always do long postings. It's so much easier to create a more meaningful post when you can work at it without worries of loosing info.
