Geesh! Who needs enemies when you have a messed up FAMILY, like I do? It's enough to drive any sane person into a deep depression. There is absolutely no winning. Rant over.

i felt the same way when i was growing up in my family, my siblings were my rivals. years later things are different now.

I know how you feel. I'm glad that you ranted it out here, it is the best therapy to just let things out of your system. You should try to make your family less of a triggering force to your depression, because this is an every day issue since you live together, am I right? I used that "technique", and it helped, and I now know how to deal with everyone in the house, even though they are nice people, but they don't know that they say the wrong things a lot of the time.
