well im not the one that is depressed....but i dont know what to do about my boyfriend who is depressed...he has a lot goin on and i understand that but its hard for me to be the strong one all the time!! and i dont ever know what to say or do to make hime feel better.....there is only so many stupid jokes i can come up with to make him have a half smile on his face!!! i love this man to death...and i dont want to loose him......but i just dont know what to do to help him!!! this is the first time ive ever experienced anythin like this....so if anyone can give me any advice....it would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to PC - I think you will find a lot of helpful people and information on this site.
I would suggest reading from this site sections on depression as a start. Also, read up on what meds your boyfriend is on. Biggest thing to know - he can't just snap out of it... so trying to get a smile out of him my not be the best thing right now - doesn't mean you can't tell joke - just keep in mind getting him to smile is not always a good indicator of what is going on inside...

be there for him at all times..
don't give up on him, and be there for him whenever he wants to talk.. let him know how much you care and that you won't let him down. and i'd say don't let him know how hard it is for you to be strong, because he then may feel like he's a burden and distance himself from you.. good luck <3
