Does anyone else really struggle answering questions from med doctors?
Q: Are the meds working? A: Depends on which second-of-time you are asking me. Sometimes I am fine, sometimes I have very graphic ideation. I really, really struggle with this. I do not want to say the meds aren't working.... maybe they are and life is just like this. I guess I fear "stopping" a med to start another only to find myself in a worse spot. |

Hi IDM,
"Are the meds working" Sometimes any changes can be so gradual or subtle to pin down if they're working, or if they're not working to pin that down/be able to absolutely state that too too........so what do they want you to do detail everything about your days?? But then again can be ways around that ![]() Then maybe if there is any improvement, or if things are the same or worse, you/they could spot that by comparing those things from your notes taken over time?? And if they have to step in quicker with anything else. Just a thought......... And "I do not want to say the meds aren't working.... maybe they are and life is just like this" If you're struggling, no hesitating to say/tell them, hey?? ![]() You're right, maybe the meds are working...........but maybe they aren't working well enough either, and if you're struggling, hey, you deserve more than that...........so maybe time for them to look into altering or changing your meds if needed?? ![]() Alison |
