I'm coming off of wellbutrin and paxil because I'm pregnant. My doc took me off cold turkey. I'm having debilitating nausea, heart palpitations, zaps, visual and auditory hallucinations and my depression is relapsing hard. I don't want to hurt my baby by staying on the meds but I seriously feel like I'm going to die.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. Please tell your doctor you can't do this cold turkey. Wellbutrin withdrawal isn't so bad, but coming off of Paxil cold turkey can be quite horrible. You should not do it cold turkey even if you are pregnant. The risk to the baby is not high enough to justify it.

Sometimes taking a different, safer for baby SSRI can help with the withdrawal. Prozac helped me come off Effexor and it is safer for pregnancy than Paxil.

I know from experience that it can be hard to be firm with a doctor about what you need. After all, they are supposed to be the experts. But it isn't safe for you or your baby to do this without the proper support.

I know what you're going through, being on 450mg of Wellbutrin and 3mg of clonezepam. Your doctor never should force you to go cold turkey. Be firm with him. Emergency room visits can also help you out if it gets too tough (Had to do that myself a couple times, because I "lose myself" and miss appointments).

Also, remember above all that it'll be fine soon and get lots of rest!
