I started to research how funerals are planned, how much they cost, etc. I didn't get around to thinking about songs.

I would be very sad to not see you around on this forum anymore. Please continue to stay safe.

i used to not want a funeral, because i didn't feel anyone would show up- or that i'd be missed.

but in recent years i've come up with songs i'd like to be played, and things that i'd hope people would say about me. i also want to attend my own funeral (sort of a practice run), so that i know everything's in place, and i can hear for myself what is said about me

Hi Fuzzy,

I'm sorry you're struggling
And it can sometimes come naturally to think about things, what if.........
But maybe try planning the other way around too..........e.g. a few lists, right there, of songs which may help slightly if things are hurting...........some "go to" songs which might lift your mood just a bit if you're hurting/struggling e.g. I know you like piano music but maybe there are other songs you can add as well that could help. Although maybe you've already done that??
And I know sometimes very little, including music, makes much of a difference (if any!!) but maybe the planning of things that might help a bit right now??
And hopefully talking with us might be in those plans (??)...........because if there's just a tiny chance we may be able to help.........we care, and we're here for you

Alison

Fuzzybear I am another person who would miss you dearly if you were not on this forum. I have to confess I have rehearsed my funeral in my head, and a song I like is "Be Still and Know that I am God" by Hillsong. I would like that song played at my funeral.
