So I've been needing to share this one with somebody for over a week now. Over the Labor Day weekend I spent time with my family, my sister and my mother were talking about a woman who we all know (kind of a family friend) but they were talking about how she probably has a drinking problem and my sister chimes in with something like "you know she's on antidepressants?" It just really caught me off guard and I really wanted to raise my hand up and be like "uh guess who else takes an antidepressant, thanks for the support sis!!!"

Sorry that happened (((annoyed))). I think our families forget or perhaps they don't even know that comments like these are hurtful. I've had to remind my family of this on several occasions. All we can do is teach them and hope they learn from it. Feel better soon.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, maybe she was referring to the fact that some antidepressants don't work if you drink alcohol.
