I am a 54 year old male I am not sure what is wrong with me. I have a fear I am losing my mind, sometimes it is hard for me to get my words out, I cannot remember names , I am tired all the time, I cannot seem to find comfort in anything, I feel disconnected,I fear I may have Alzheimer's or something. I have been to my doctor and he just thinks it's stress. I am not sure how to feel normal again, does anybody else feel this way?

Yes, lately I'll lose my train of thought often, forgetting what I was just about to do. I think the doctor is right. I just came back from mine and he contributed my high blood pressure, not being able to sleep, and muscle pain to stress.
Being under stress definitely affects everything.
I hope you can stop worrying about Alzheimers. My mom has it. It can take years before it gets really bad. I'd listen to your doctor and take any advice he has. I hope he offered you at least some tips on how to reduce your stress. Going for a walk is the best thing for me, when I can.

i always feel that way!!! I'm 54 too and a woman. i lose my train of thought so i don't converse too much, but i am a great listener. i feel like i'm going nuts sometimes and recently got out of the hospital after a 4 day stay to change my meds. my heart races sometimes and is pounding now. i think it is stress and anxiety too. i forget what i'm doing alot too. well i hope my new meds will help.

Hi Pretzel,

Your doc might be right, but either way, I really suggest watching this video

and looking up what Mark Hyman and Andrew Weil say about this on-line.
