I have suffered all my life with recurrent depression. I also always had a terrible time with irregular sleep habits.

Lately my sleep/wake cycle is becoming completely chaotic. I don't feel particularly depressed, but I do feel like I am becoming a general basket case from constant sleepy fatigue and being awke all night with excessive daytime sleepiness.

All I take is a tricyclic antidepressant. I'm thinking about asking a doctor to put me on a stimulant to try and wake up in the daytime. Has anyone had a similar problem and benefitted from a stimulant? I can't seem to just will-power my way out of this miserable pattern. At least once a week, I am awake all night.

During the morning, even when I've had a night's sleep, I am made of lead and can't hardly function. It seems to ease up around 5 a.m.

I'm desperate to be on a more normal schedule. I'ld be grateful to hear from anyine ho has had this kind of problem.

that is a symptom of depression. I agree.

I tried Xanax and urs better than trazodone and Ativan . no funky side effects in the morning and you're kinda calm
