What do I do with this depression? I can't do my regular activities. I can't attend school. I want to eat but I don't want to. I don't understand myself.

Hi RJ! "Know thyself" is a great start. These notes might help: http://egg.bu.edu/~youssef/SNAP_CLUB/BA.pdf

Depression cripples so many people. The first thing is to find someone you can talk to. Then tell your doctor and therapist. They may discover a medical condition, or a nutritional or a chemical imbalance in the brain which medicines might help. Mostly you need to be reassured many people are depressed and it is okay. Don't fear to open up to get help when you need it for it doesnt go away. If left untreated it can fester and get worse. You did well to post here. There are many stories people have shared here of their experiences that you might be able to relate to. There is nothing like a one on one therapist or counselor to help with this process. Depression often involves some part of ones life that you are grieving over and do not understand why. They will help you sort through to find out why, the cause and perhaps help you get through it. good luck and keep posting, reaching out and asking for help. tc

Know you aren't alone, a lot of people on these forums (myself included) are feeling the same way you are.

Also know that nothing else matters right now besides you getting better. Don't worry about school. As long as you don't have children or people depending on you, you have the the luxury of taking some time for yourself.
