You know that feeling when you think that life just can't get any worse-- and then more bad/terrible stuff happens--yeah that's where I'm at. I have never hit such a low point in my life and I feel like nothing good can ever happen again.
You would think that my medications would be doing a better job at keeping my mood stable, but they just aren't. I'm agitated, hopeless, feel worthless, and just can't get motivated to do anything. I'm in two different legal cases, both of which at this point I can't control. I just have to wait for the court dates to see what is going to happen in both cases- one is felony charges and the other is custody. I can't be positive no matter what people say to me or what I try to tell myself. I just feel like the worst thing is going to happen in both situations. I have some support around me but for whatever reason it's not enough, I can't get out of this funk that I'm in. I'm at a loss for what to do. |

JudgeDuck, normally i don't say this. Go to an AA meeting and say you are there for support. Say that you want the help of people who work the 12 steps to help you cope better with what you are going through. Every other group has with permission used the AA 12 steps and 12 traditions. They are powerful guidelines that have changed millions of peoples lives. These meetings are the most accessible. And if not that try EA Emotions Anonymous Group that might be available in your area. They deal with helping one manage their emotions. It is an excellent group of people that are all there for each other. If you go to an AA meeting say you looked for an EA meeting and could not find one and they will welcome you there. I am going through a legality with the court myself, for a divorce, for housing. And also for other things as well. My life has been constant turmoil and trauma and i have hit a dead end. I am dealing with it. This place PC has been a life saver for me. And it can be for you as well. Please don't give up hope. We are all here for each other. You hang in there. Life will get better, it always goes into another day. We have to decide how we choose to live life in the face of opposition. We don't have to react to life, we can live to life. There is a difference. I hope this helps. tc

Thank you!! I appreciate the advice. I used to go to NA meetings like 6 years ago- so it's probably not a bad idea.

Make a list of anything positive that has happened in your life. Look at it when you're down. Legal cases always suck. Good luck with those.
