I'm really struggling this semester in school. I'm junior in college and I'm juggling two part-time jobs and going to school full time. This semester has been odd for me. I feel like I can't get a grip on anything that is going on. The other night I finally told my boyfriend how I was feeling. I'm worried that this funk won't go away. I'm trying to be more motivated, but it's just hard sometimes. HAs anyone eve just been in a down kind of place with no good reason to be there other than being stuck in your own head?
Just some thoughts going through my head. |

I know this feeling well. I actually ended taking some time off of school to work and put myself back together. Sometimes it's really difficult to break out of your own head because you're thinking a mile a minute or not thinking much at all but when you feel like nothing is really important anymore obviously it's difficult to get what's necessary done.
If you haven't yet, I'd really consider going to your school's counseling center and enrolling into a little bit of therapy. It's nice to talk to someone about what you may or may not be feeling. Sometimes forcing yourself fixes the issue but sometimes nothing in your current skill set can fix the mental block and it's good to get different techniques to help. I practice a lot of mindfulness techniques to focus on things not in my head and get me back in the present. Mindful eating and really being in the moment is good. Same with running your hands over textured surfaces and etc. Best of luck! |
