I know this sounds strange and I'm not sure If it's my depression causing it or not but I feel like I'm dying. I'm 37 years old but mentally I feel like I'm 80. I feel like I've lived my life and there's nothing left for me in the world, I'm an old person and have had enough. I go over the years I've lived in my head (almost like flashbacks) and what I could've done differently and feel I've not got much longer left to live, I look back with sadness missing what I once had. I almost feel like my body and brain and shutting down and preparing to die, and I don't really care?

I definitely feel like I'm 80 much of the time, and I'm nowhere near that age, indeed it sucks. There are answers, some would say (personally I'm yet to find them)

Btw you're still young Wishing you the strength and good support you'll need to get past this (it's a terrible feeling, I totally get this )

I can relate to what you say too.

I feel in my case it's usually the depression talking!

I agree with Fuzzybear in wishing you strength and the support you need.

That is pretty typical of depression. Depression is a here and now thing but it also affects the way you see the future and even the way you view the past.
At some point in in life death becomes less of an abstract and we realize that we are not going to be the first exception to the everyone dies rules. But nobody really knows when they will die. I hope you feel more positive soon.
