Hi All. First post here (I think).
I've been dealing with depression since 2004. Have been on:
Zoloft
Cipramil
Lexapro
Cymbalta
Seroquel
Lamictal
Tegratol
Valproate
Valdoxan.
Lexapro 20mgs definitely worked the best and I've been on that alone for about the past 2 years. But lately I've felt a return to my old symptoms. First to go is sleep, quickly followed by mood. I'm trying to prevent getting worse. The problem is, I've moved recently and am a long way from my regular GP and Psychiatrist.
I'm wondering if there's any new medications out recently? As you csn see, I've tried a lot.
Not really sure what I expect from this post, but any advice is welcome.
Hugs from:

Could be the Lexapro has "pooped out".
First step is to up the dose and see if that works.

You could try Celexa/ citalopram. It is exactly the same as Lexapro but it contains two isomers instead of one.

Newer antidepressants are -
Fetzima - SSNRI
Brintellix - SSRI
Viibryd - SSRI

You might consider Wellbutrin which is in it's own class but if lexapro has worked probably try another SSRI first.

Prozac
Paxil
Luvox

SSNRI's
Effexor
Pristiq

This is some very good information above for medications. It takes some people a long time to find the right combination. Good luck.
