I feel like i'm slipping into the pit today. I'm at work, but not really here. I long for rest and an easing of the pain that has me trapped at the moment. my stomach is churning, i feel so nauseous. I don't feel like dealing with people today. I feel so trapped and alone. sorry for such a negative post.

Hey guiltier,

Never be sorry for posting how you feel
In fact THANKYOU for sharing
Sounds like a really hard day for you...........and some days can seem endless, like you're never going to make it through them
But........maybe just try to focus on half an hour......an hour at a time...........or one task at a time.........the end of the day, when you can be alone/no pressure will come.
Even plan something for when you get home...........something that could help a little...........whether that's a "treat", watching something, relaxing, taking a bath...........whatever..........just something "positive" to focus on/remind yourself of.........
And if you could spread some breaks out...........even take more "bathroom" breaks..........
Remind yourself you can do this!!!
And guiltier.........you're not alone..........PC is here for you

Alison

Are you able to take something like a worry stone with you to work? I find such a distraction soothing.

becareful with your breathing... it can help but sometimes it can make things worse if you do it wrong, you know? '

Hyperventilation occurs when the rate and quantity of alveolar ventilation of carbon dioxide exceeds the body's production of carbon dioxide.[1][2] Hyperventilation can be voluntary or involuntary." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperventilation

In medicine, hypoventilation (also known as respiratory depression) occurs when ventilation is inadequate (hypo meaning "below") to perform needed gas exchange.[1] By definition it causes an increased concentration of carbon dioxide (hypercapnia) and respiratory acidosis." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoventilation

it is good to do breathing technique... i just used to have a big problem with this..
i try to let it be natural now...
