Hello. So I was wondering if anyone on here gets an irritable depression after seeing a mental health professional? For me, after seeing my social worker, I am really irritable and don't want anyone to talk to me and anything makes me mad after it. Then about an hour later, I get into a sad depressive mood and anything can make me cry. I sometimes am like for the rest of the day and sometimes for only a few hours. But does this happen to anyone else? I feel like the only one who gets like it. I think this happens because my emotions come out of there raw, and my emotions start to process after the meeting and that's what I was feeling. But it switches moods from irritable depressed to sad depressed. I don't know. I just feel kind of embarrassed about it.

I get like that and for the reasons you mentioned. I think more on my issues, it makes them worse and I don't think about them more than I do right before and during an appointment. Just having to see a MH professional can bring up negative feelings about oneself. it does for me.
I would be surprised if it was not a common thing for psych patients. |
