Whenever there is sun go outside.
Buy a light box and sit in front of it for at least 20 mins per day.
Exercise.

Hello and yes. I suggest whenever there is sun, go outside. Maybe start taking vitamin D supplements? There may be a link between vitamin D and depression, since the sun helps our bodies produce vitamin D, and vitamin D helps with mood.

arsenal supporter has good advice too. Hope this helps .

is treatment different if the SAD occurs during winter or summer?

i read that it happens in winter because less sunlight..? i thought thats when the lightboxes were supposed to be good...

but during summer there is more sun so would a lightbox help?
always wondered about this...

Use special lighting which is equal to outdoor lights: make your house inside bright and cheery not dark: go outside and get some fresh air and soak up as much sunlight as you can: do some spring decorating and get your summer clothes out: plan a vegetable and flower garden: plan other projects that you can work on outside: there are many ways of dealing with it and helping get by, tc and hugs
