I just don't know what to do. I lost my job in the winter, so many friend have just moved on, things are just so difficult. How do you have the energy to get up in the morning. Seems to get worse as the weather gets better.

It is very difficult. I have been where you are, but I left work and went onto disability. Being home all day and living alone kept me in my head which made things worse.

I knew I need to do something to get me out of the house, but that something had to be something that made me want to get out of the house. I have 2 cats and love animals so I started volunteering at a local animal rescue. It was the best thing for me. I was able to help care for the animals and help adopters find their new family member.

So my suggestion is to find something that makes you happy, or at least use to make you happy, and find a way to do it.

Good advice shabur,

It often takes an extreme act of willpower for me to do simple things, although in a way I'm lucky as staying in bed too long causes me pain so that motivates me at least to get up.

I have to structure my days and week planning at least one thing every day to do outside my home which I try not to give myself a choice able doing, just do it and think about it afterwards.

Everyone is different, but finding something pleasant to do each day whether you enjoy it or not until you can find something you feel is more productive and/or potentially enjoyable is important to give yourself a chance to get a little better.

Best of luck with your efforts.
