How long have you been feeling this way? Getting married can be very stressful and could cause some depression. I got depressed when I got married because I thought it might have been a big mistake. (I'm still married 24 years later). When things settle down, you may feel better. But in any event, you may need some professional help. It might be a good idea to talk to your regular doctor as a first step.

Your location says New York, but it sounds like you are not in the U.S. I hope you find some help and comfort on this site. It has helped me a lot.

It sounds like the issue is that getting labelled with a mental disorder is frowned upon in your society. I am basing this response on that assumption.

I have no idea what it is like in your country but if the help exists, take it! Don't worry about stigmas or anything else. What good does it do take make people think you are okay when you are suffering? You health and well-being are far more important than outside influences. Do medical privacy laws exist in your country?

Online help, including live chats can be very beneficial, but in my opinion aren't a proper substitute for professional help. This board and other places can certainly augment therapy.

There are online therapists. I have never tried one and I am not sure if many work internationally. I remember one site called Breakthrough....there are others.
