My store manager told me not to make a phone call to a tech for the photo machine even though I felt that I should. When the photo supervisor came in, I grumbled to him about the incident and he told me to make the call. I said that the store manager told me not to. He said that this is his photo department. I stated that the store is the store manager's store. He said that he is not going to argue with me and left. Letter, it came up that I didn't ever call the tech.
Today the supervisor told the store manager about the incident. The store manager grumbled at him for not having him come up to change the order. I pointed out if I obey the store manager, then I disobey the supervisor. If I obey the supervisor then I disobey the store manager. I ended up crying some. I hate that place. I suspect that the store manager and the photo supervisor now dislikes me.

That stinks. Pressure can be a killer. I get a lot of it at my job too. I have lots of people trying to put their work off on me. I used to take it, but now I don't. I'm sorry that you aren't happy at work. If these things are going to bother you and they aren't going to stop, have you thought about looking for work at another store?

i totally understand ~ way too much stress at work for me too!!!!

if ya find one of them stressless jobs - be sure to let me know where!!! i'll be next in line to apply!!

don't feel rejected - it sounds like a big misunderstanding and mess at work...it's your bosses issues not yours...you can only do what your told...if you can figure out what that is!!!!! bosses SUCK!!!

Sorry you cried at work. It is so hard to have to juggle authority at work like that. A loose, loose situation.

Being stressed and depressed makes it even larger that life

Try (notice I said try) to act as if nothing has happened. If they think they didn't "get" to you the issue may resolve itself. (A lot easier said than done)

Take care

They should not have put you in that position or should have a CLEAR chain of command.

I'm so sorry.

I hope the upset related to this passes for you soon, hon.

Yes, I agree with everyone else. It is called POWER STRUGGLE and you are in the middle of it. I would have
brought the issue to both at the same time, when one of them disagreed. It's not for you to decide. Let them fight
or discuss it, that is what they are getting PAID FOR.

I am sorry but there are always problems with one person
or another, at any job.It is everywhere.I'm sorry you had to
experience the cruel way people express their position
at the job. I went through H--L with my last job. I eventually
after 6 1/2 years of harrassement, hostile environment and
discriminaton, decided to leave and file a lawsuit against
them. Because I knew that their only intention was to fire
me.Even though, I & my superiors had received several letters of recommendations, stating that I was an excellent
employee. I cried alot of times, but I didn't let anyone see
my tears! I did win the lawsuit, but only because of
the American Disability Act. They knew that I had depression and stress due to the way they treated me. I had 2 medical leaves from my shrink.

HOpe this info helps, and if you can find peace at a new job,
let me know. I am between jobs.

Wishing you the best and please take charge of the situation, even though it is very hard.

I found myself worrying about whether the manager and supervisor likes me but they are fine with things now. I just tend to worry myself silly because I want them to think that I am a good employee who isn't a jerk. Although my manager asked me why I was late today. I said that ____ wanted a break. He repeated the words back to me for some odd reason. It was only 20 minutes after the hour and her breaks are supposed to be 15 minutes. I wondered if he thought she might have been trying to take too long of a break. I have seen her do things like that before.
