This looks like an interesting discussion.
I would like to add one of my own.

How about "I think that..." Instead of "I feel that....." To my mind saying "I think" makes an opinion seem more considered and as if you have weighed it up and come to a rational opinion rather than a vague sense that something might be a good idea.
