Almost all of the things I used to like to eat, don't appeal to me anymore. Even the things that I will eat, I won't eat that much in one sitting.
I'm not overweight or underweight. I like to exercise. I don't know what's the problem all of a sudden.

Hello Tyler4: Well... it could be related to your med's. I was put on Abilify a few years ago now. It made everything I ate taste metallic. About the only things I could eat that were the least bit enjoyable were sweets... which isn't the worst thing in the world...

Adderall already slightly alters your sense of taste; it really goes after the appetite, though. Ever since I started taking it, I'm never really that hungry unless it's been over twelve hours since my last snack. Effexor and Zoloft destroyed my sense of taste while I was on them, along with the three other antidepressants I was on either at the same time or tried separately.

Depression itself can affect the appetite... Mine is very low since my relapse and I've lost over 35 pounds and some weeks can eat hardly anything at all. Medication can have an effect and I knew someone who lost their sense of smell after a very long period of depression and that in turn killed her sense of taste and therefore her appetite.
Also depression can lead to a lowered immunity which can lead to other problems, for example a sinus infection can impact the appetite. It could be worth getting checked by a doctor to see if there is something else going one.

Worth having checked. Maybe the sinus infection is lingering because of depression or for some other reason. If a gp can determine that and clear that up for you it might restore your sense of taste. One less thing to worry about. Good luck.
