Is it bad to want to be hospitalized just to get people's butts in gear? Just moved and things are bad again.

Of course not. But hospitals are so unpleasant. You must be feeling really terrible right now. So you're saying that a good psychiatrist and therapist are unavailable to you?

I don't have insurance now, waiting on medicade. And right now it may be the safest route possible. Not in physical danger but sex addiction danger.

No wonder you are overwhelmed. You've talked about the sexual addiction before. If you are not doing anything unsafe, I think it's a compulsion that kicks in to distract us from terrible things we don't want to think about. When you are able to treat your mental health issues in general, it might go away. I hope you get the care you need soon! Sounds like you need some serious relief.
Thanks for this!

Relaxed now but the med did help. But I'm worried that the thoughts will return. There is an urgent care walk in center in my area but I'm scared.

Depending on where you lI've, you shouldn't worry about insurance because after your at the mental hospital they will ask you about your finances. I had no way to pay for my hospitalizationson and the county or someone else took care of the bill. I find that in desperate times, the hospital was in a way a boring vocation. Time to reflect, sleep, attend groups, make friends or not, quickly get meds avaluated. It's a personal thing but if you think the hospital will help you, then go. Be sure to share you issues with the psychiatrist, in order to get the most out of your visit. Good luck!

Sometimes distraction helps ... Perhaps go for a walk in a park if you have one nearby?

But, again, if you feel you may be in danger of self-harm, then I'd walk myself into that UC and ask for help!

PS ... I believe self-harm to include giving into any addiction or behavior that could prove harmful to our recovery process.

Sincerely,
Pfrog!

I did find an essential oil but it creates a headache if used too much. Today is a bit better but I have had self harm thoughts. Hopefully I'll find an oil that doesn't give side effects.
