Just got the call from the hospital. I am going in tomorrow morning to get the second opinion that my pdoc wants. They say the average stay is 18 days. I really hope I am not in that long. The good news is that I am allowed to have a phone. Never allowed that before so at least I will be able to email my T.
I am just really freaking out about this. I don't know what to expect because it is supposed to be different than my other hospital stays since it is not an emergency/stabilization type thing. Any calming words of wisdom? |

I envy you. I wish so much that I could just check out of all my roles and responsibilities and anxieties and lie in a bed in a room (with a phone, that's a nice perk), dope up on prescribed meds, sleep and focus on regaining stability. I wish you the very best, and I'm sure that your doctors have arranged this treatment because they feel it's in your best interests.

Think it is great that they will have a more hands on approach to getting a second opinion, and you won't feel "cut-off" from things since you will have your phone.
It's pretty awesome (imo) that you have a doc who actually wants a second opinion to make sure all bases are covered. ![]()

Yeah I like my pdoc but I just really wish there was another way to do this.

Only slept 3 hours last night. Have to be at the hospital at 10.
