For a good few months I felt like I had my life back on track, had been feeling positive, could find things to look forward to. I've felt for a few weeks that things were changing slightly and I've been trying my best to fight it.
Today I feel so angry and hopeless. I feel like my friends are using me, I'm working hard at work to cover for people who shouldn't be off work but are, I have no money and am worried about Christmas and I just feel like I'm carrying a huge weight on my shoulders. I got a notebook last year when I was feeling at my worst and wrote my feelings down. I'm doing the same again now to try and get everything out but it's not helping. I hate this feeling of anger and my mind is working against me. I'd forgotten how bad this feeling was. I'm hoping I can work through it better this time. |

I'm sorry that this state is trying to take up residence in your brain, again. It's an awful feeling. I really understand the anger more than all of it. If the notebook doesn't help much this time, you might have to try a new tactic. I'm not sure what would work best. Don't give up. You beat this thing once, so you know it's possible to do it again. We're here for you on PC to get you back there.

Don't let a few weeks change your course. Maybe there is something inside you are fighting (the anger) and you need to address it in some way to get back your peace. Keep working at it.

You might be suffering from seasonal affective disorder where you get depressed in the fall as the days get shorter because your brain isn't getting enough light.
The first thing to do is get full spectrum lights for your home, and sit in front of them early in the day to replace the lost light. You want the light to get to your eyes without it being pointed at them so it gets to your brain. Another cause of SAD [seasonal affective disorder] is low melatonin levels so supplementing with it is very helpful. I started taking more melatonin a couple of years ago after reading this as I've had SAD for 25 years now, and was amazed at how much less severe the depression was with that and the full spectrum light. Here's an article on using melatonin for SAD: https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...0501113832.htm
