Sometimes a "hug" even from someone we don't know, can make all the difference..

If I didn't have these ****ing medical threats, I could maybe "get over" some of this depression ... Not easy with no meds, but I'm no "slouch"

I wouldn't still be alive if I was...

Wondering, is it worth giving a doctor IRL one more shot as in one more attempt to talk to... I seriously feel I have reached the limit of my tolerance for bs from professionals IRL.

And this is not intended to be disrespectful to anyone. It's my stuff.

I don't know why but for me IRL I don't really like hugs or any physical contact more than a hand shake from anyone other than my wife. It just makes me feel very uncomfortable. I know common theme for that is sexual abuse, but not for me. I have never been abused in any form.

People who grew up in households that didn't have a lot of physical interaction and affection can have a similar effect. My mom and dad never really hugged me much after age 6 or 7. I hate hugs now, unless someone's really close to me; even then I don't like them when I'm really upset.

Your lifetime experience with professionals is ... "sub-optimal". So answering this question is not as easy as it might appear.

Risk vs. (potential) Reward??? What are the chances a particular doctor would provide you with substantive help vs. a (another) nostrum?
