My old friend is back and dragging me down...literally. I walk with 50 extra pounds on my shoulders and drag my feet...I NEVER drag my feet. Sleep, sweet sweet sleep, I can't get enough of blissful sleep. Getting out of bed is like running a marathon...and cleaning the house, the same.

TV, video game, book, something to distract is about all I can do to stay above ground.

I'll keep swimming against the tide....

Have you been able to do any of the things you mentioned earlier? Were you able to derive any enjoyment from them?

I posted in the BP area this same complaint about this time of year. And wow you hit the nail on the head when you said it feels like you're dragging 50lbs!! I thought I was the only one that gets that feeling when depressed. You're not alone! Contact a pdoc if you can. Talk with a T. Take care of yourself.

I've felt mine coming on, too. It will be a long time until Feb or Mar.

Hang in there.

I'm sorry you are finding the season hard. I too struggle with SAD, on top of my usual depression. Mine hasn't started yet because I do like fall, but in the darker, colder months of winter it is really difficult for me to keep positive. I wish I could afford one of those lights that I keep seeing people talk about. I have a salt rock lamp, but I don't think that is the same... though it is very pretty to look at.

Now I don't know what's happening. I haven't slept in two days and I feel too bad to eat. Every little sound from my pets is making me cringe. Could I be rapid cycling? I'm calling my pdoc office first thing mon morning.
