This seems to be a common theme amongst those of us in the UK, so many of the professionals don't listen

Or in some cases, they listen for a while, until we trust them, and then "discharge" us..

As I am also allergic to all the meds they prescribe .....

Is it us who don't or won't recover... or is it the NHS?

I'm sorry fuzzy. That's terrible ! They have discharged you completely ? Does that mean you can't get any help at all. I'm so sorry

It's a long story... I could get help if i told them.... but I wonder what this help would consist of

But as I'm allergic to meds I don't know what they would do to help...

I did fill in that form a little while ago, and scored high on it..

(Also I wasn't completely honest... those who have seen this form can probably guess to which questions )

I was prescribed meds..

One GP suggested a referral... but this GP said some very unhelpful things so I didn't go back to this person..

I hope mental health care will improve on the NHS one day. Soon would be nice, but I guess it's a long way off. Not enough funding is given for such a major thing. Not the fault of the NHS though I guess.

If they had more money allocated then maybe they would be able to offer you good therapy rather than just throwing meds at you that you can't take.

I hear you and feel some of your pain.

I just did a search on one of the psych meds I was prescribed..

I came upon this comment, or something similar (re some doctors irl)

"They are so arrogant they deny the torture that is right in front of them"

(Re a severe side effect that is commonly denied.. my allergies are "something else"
