I feel utterly horrible since the second i woke up. I have no motivation to tidy up or look after myself. I feel like a really bad person even though i didnt do anything bad. I dont want to be here. I hate myself. I want everything to come to an end and be over with.

" Wish I didn't wake up " ... I am glad you did wake up ... I know life is tough ... especially when the black beastie is running amuck ... but the sun will come up tomorrow ... there is always the hope it will be a better day ... no one knows until we live it ... that break thru ... that new love ... not one knows ... we have to hope ... we must never give up that hope ... your friend ... Tigger.

I am in the same boat. The only thing that helps me is to make a list and check off at least 2 things that you got done that day. Even if it's only got in the shower and brushed my teeth. That's something.

You aren't alone.

If the word bad is used inside a society, the society is flawed.
You are not bad. Those who invented that word are bad. There's no compassionate reason to call someone bad.
I know how it feels.

Hey! Thank you. I am sorry that you are experiencing a similar problem to me . I just woke up and feel suicidal but I need to force myself out of bed and tidy up so my dad doesn't see how badly I am neglecting my new flat . he's probably coming over today .
I have a social worker but she says nobody can do anything for me , that I need to do everything to make myself better . she even emplied that by not making myself get better I am being a bad mother and not thinking of my children . my children don't live with me because of my mental health . is she implying that it's my fault I have mental health problems ? Or that I am being unwell on purpose . I wanted to shout at her and tell her to try living with mental health issues for just 5 minutes before saying such things to me .

i am sorry that your social worker is being like this with you, as she is supposed to be helping i can only think that she is trying to be motivational and is clearly not too good at it! And the motivation stuff only really works once meds have improved mood i think are you taking any ? Due to see Dr ?

This social worker is not being compassionate... a society that labels someone who is struggling as "bad" - explicit or implied... as Obsidian said, this society is flawed

I stopped taking my meds because they didn't work and then my doctor confirmed that those meds don't work with the kind of depression that I have. Now I'm trying to ask them for valum . I've tried it before unprescribed and I know it worked instantly and that's what I need but they don't want to give it to me .

Thank you fuzzy .
I don't really understand some of the so called professionals . I didn't realize it was our responsibility to treat our own mental health while they get paid to do what ? I'm not sure . sad hug

I'm not sure either ... and I don't understand some of the so called professionals either (it's a bit like telling someone with a broken leg without a cast to run a marathon, and with very little "support"..)...

I guess because of the lack of funding, they attempt to put sticking plasters on deep wounds... at best this does little to help
