Hello everyone,

So today I woke up and I did not want to face the day, however I was eventually able to get out of bed and start prepping for Thanksgiving. Although, instead of perking up with caffeine as I usually do, today I just feel incredibly exhausted. What kinds of things have you done to get out of these funks?

Thanks for the support,
BH22

Hello BrownHat22: Oh gee, here I go again! I just keep writing this over-&-over here on PC lately. (I think I'm sort-of like a broken record.) Many years ago, my father used to say: "You're not required to like it. You're just required to do it." I have taken this as my mantra. I simply do not allow myself to countenance the possibility that there is any option other than to do what needs to be done. And once I've gotten into it, it's usually okay. Sometimes I even find that I enjoy it.

When I'm in this mode, I tend to stay in it. However, much like Skeezkys I follow the train of thought, "You don't have to like it. You're just required to do it."
Something that helps me to do this is to motivate myself to do something I enjoy before doing the things I'm not in the mood for. It energizes me just enough to do what I have to do.
What do you enjoy that you feel up to doing?
