In my personal journaling, I am trying to practice more positivity and recall moments in 2016 that I can be grateful for, as well as just in general trying to recall positive memories from my past.

The brain during depression struggles a lot with a negativity bias, and it can feel like nothing will change. We will look at a number of failures and relapses and think that our situation is hopeless, but this is not reality.

For me, I'm grateful for my one year old son, who is such a joy all the time. This little guy is always smiling and giggling and am just so grateful to have his beaming face looking up at me when I greet him in the morning.

What's something you're grateful for from 2016, or what is a positive memory from last year?
Hugs from:

That's great to hear!
I'm grateful for learning digital music, as I've always wanted a tool with which to create every music I have in mind. And I am also grateful for starting to exercise, as it has greatly helped my feelings of depression.

Grateful for my grown kids, grandson, the stranger that returned my lost wallet, the free garden seeds and bulbs for next year from a nearby Agway store, being physically healthy, recent trip to nyc, roof over head when it rains....
