In my personal journaling, I am trying to practice more positivity and recall moments in 2016 that I can be grateful for, as well as just in general trying to recall positive memories from my past.
The brain during depression struggles a lot with a negativity bias, and it can feel like nothing will change. We will look at a number of failures and relapses and think that our situation is hopeless, but this is not reality. For me, I'm grateful for my one year old son, who is such a joy all the time. This little guy is always smiling and giggling and am just so grateful to have his beaming face looking up at me when I greet him in the morning. What's something you're grateful for from 2016, or what is a positive memory from last year? |

That's great to hear!
I'm grateful for learning digital music, as I've always wanted a tool with which to create every music I have in mind. And I am also grateful for starting to exercise, as it has greatly helped my feelings of depression. |
