I'm currently off all of my meds and was curious what actually worked for you?

I felt like a prisoner to medication and I had to keep going and seeing the doctor to continue my medication...

What saved you the most?

A bizarre combo of adderal and klonipin. I have a genetic issue where all known ADs and APs actually react in an contradictory manner with my brain chemistry. And the only MSs that are not in the do not list are just unknown in how they will react. So basically they treat my Adhd to give me some energy and clarity and my anxiety. I wish I were one of the lucky few who had a miracle med.

Mine was adderall...because I have Add and ADHD combination and I feel tired and want to sleep all the time...

But I'm off my meds because I felt like a prisoner relying on all the meds I was on. And I had to wait months to go see another doctor because mine decided to relocate...

Am I thinking of that wrong?....I got off of everything because I was pregnant too...

Still med freeWhat was your life saving medication?

It's not wrong to feel too reliant on meds and want off of them. Pregnancy is a good reason, too.

When I was in my worst depression ever, the only thing that brought me out of it wasn't a medication. It was ECT. It worked better than any medication I've been on in the past. That being said, the memory side effects are brutal and I would only do it again if I hit rock bottom once more.

Oh, I'm sorry...I understand. I've been on Lithium with its horrible side affects...

Tried a ton of ADs. Finally, finally when I added low dose naltrexone (3-5 mg) on top of trintellix I got some relief. LDN is cheap, has the least amount of side effects of any drug I've ever tried and seems to work. Can't beat that combo. Plus I think it's helped a bit with my chronic pain. Worth a try perhaps?
Thanks for this!

Nardil! At high costs, but it literally saved my life at least once, possibly the 2nd time I took it, too.
Also maybe lamictal.
