Hello everyone,

Two weeks ago I posted about my first experience in a T session, today I had my second appointment and given that it seems like many of us have similar symptoms and issues (i.e. specific secondary symptoms outside of loss of interest and depressive emotions) I thought I should share what I learned here as well. The biggest lesson that I learned today was with regards to self-depreciation. Specifically, it is that we should treat ourselves in the same manner, and with the same patience that we treat other people. Just as we are compassionate and understanding towards others, we should also extend that grace to ourselves, even if you don't feel like you deserve it. My T also instructed me to start a specialized CBT program in addition to adopting this outlook, so after today, I feel tentatively hopeful about my emotions in the future. Whether or not this all crashes and burns 2-3 days in is yet to be seen, but either way, I am going to try being hopeful about the future. Stay safe everyone!

I love your hope! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. I love cognitive behavior therapy! Is that the CBT?
