I went to the hospital because I was very suicidal and felt like my psychiatrist didn't care about me at all and wasn't helping me. So I told the hospital that and was actually able to talk to the crisis team at the hospital. I was sent home after a good talk and then the next day I went to see my psychiatrist and found out that in the hospital report that was sent to my psychiatrist, it said that I didn't think my psychiatrist cared and hated me and that he didn't help! My psychiatrist wasn't supposed to know that I said those things about him! Shouldn't the hospital have at least said it in a nicer way??? Like my psychiatrist was not only hurt, but mad at me!!! I mean sure we worked things out but still!!

I understand how that was awkward for you, but I think it's important for the communication between the hospital and your pdoc to be honest, clear, and direct.
Thanks for this!

That's bad! Not so much that the crisis team reported to him, but HE SHOULD NOT HAVE GOT MAD. He needed to know if your relationship with him wasn't working or he couldn't do anything to help you, but sorting that out with someone in crisis needs care and professionalism!

I hope you find the outcome works better for you though I'm sooo sorry the process was hurtful for you.
