I am curious about others who suffer like myself and describe "dark episodes" that they've gone through. I know my worst severe depressive days always revolved around religion. Most of it the negative, sin ridden stuff that I did in the past...only way I can relate this to anything would be my up bringing as a catholic. Just wondering.....these were the worst part of my depression bouts....I could live with the waking up and finding absolutely nothing positive in the world....but those "DARK' feelings scared the holy bejesus out of me.Artie

I can understand how your upbringing would impact that.
I think for me, when it comes to my "dark thoughts" during a depressive episode, they also revolve around my upbringing. It's not religious but it's like a music track stuck on 'replay'. Except, it's not music. It's all of the berating and psychological torment I was exposed to. Just keeps on playing over and over. I wish it was a tape instead of CD, then maybe my player would eat the tape and it'd finally stop playing.

For me it feels like the sun has gone away forever and there is nothing lift in life but struggle, pain and a void.
I hope the sun comes out for you ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
