I used to always love to eat, but lately along with other problems I'm having is that I am just not satisfied when I eat. I'm trying to budget and cook more and not eat ar restaurants as much (which i used to love doing). When I do eat out I usually end up feeling guilty because it didn't really taste better than anything I could've Made at home. Except Thai food- I suck at making that. It just makes me so sad that the one thing i always used to get pleasure from I really don't anymore. I guess I could look at it in a healthy way and just eat what I need to survive but usually I binge eat instead because I am not satisifed with what I eat first. Has anyone experienced this? It is new for me.

I've had problems with binge eating as well. Now I've started to have issues with being so anxious and depressed that food is also so uninteresting. I barely eat anything now. I guess it's good cuz I need to lose weight but I'd like it to be healthy. I'm sorry you're struggling. It's not an easy place to be.

Yes I feel this way too. The last thing I really enjoyed eating was in summer 2014. Anhedonia is the pits. I also need to lose weight but I'm not eating healthy things, just not enjoying food.

I have had this too, depression makes everything taste like sawdust however, even if it's not enjoyable, sometimes having food in my mouth, (preferably sweet food) can make me feel less intensely low. This then disappears as soon as I have swallowed, so I want more and more......

I hope you can feel better before too long

I get hungry, but have to force myself to eat...It would be a relief not to have to do it, but I recognize that it would just amplify my issues if I starve myself. I usually will eat simple foods just to get something in my gut...it all tastes the same anyway, so I take tons of vitamins, which I know aren't the same as nutients from food.
