I have not posted in a very very long time. My husband and I moved to our dream place in the state we always wanted to retire too. After Christmas we moved over 900 miles away finally had retired and starting a new chapter of our life. The new chapter is absolutely wonderful.

Here is the problem we moved away from almost all family/friends. It has been a little over 2 months now and we are making new friends. BUT I miss everyone back up north. I would not trade this live but am so deeply sad these last couple of weeks. Not being able to see hug and hold especially our grandson just tears me apart. We were there from the day his was born until we left saw him probably 3 to 5 times a week. The adjustment is killing me. I am trying to work through it. When we moved I did set up a counselor down here to continue with someone, plus just have got my pysch nurse practitioner for my meds which I will see next week. I see my counselor this week for the third time since I have been down here. I know I need to adjust but my heart is really having a tough time.

Can you do live video, like face time, etc? I know it's not the same, but you can visit in person maybe 4 times a year, right? And combine that with video calling and it helps. It isn't going to get better for a bit, but I'm sure you felt like you could take the separation levels or you wouldn't have moved so far? Idk. And a little goes a long way - maybe you could do a five minute video call with your closest friends. That probably doesn't seem like much, but for longer than just a few minutes is asking for others to change their lives too.

I believe I have a way to communicate video not face time because I have a android but can't even get her to answer that question. We called her on her birthday this week we might have been lucky if we got 2 minutes on the phone. A whole bunch of excuses and A LOT of frustrating on our end. I am so worried about connecting with our grandson ugh ugh...
