The past,
It rears itself into your mind You distract yourself from the pain of Today. The voices, They sneer and snicker in the silence You play music and they speak Volumes. The darkness, Engulfs you inside uncertainty You turn on a light and it beckons Return. The present, Is the embodiment of fear and frustration You attempt bravery and patience and Fail. The soil, Occupies a dry mouth and throat, choking You reach for water so you can Grow. The words, That leave your mouth are both chaotic and serene Others attempt to conceal it with tape and you Break. The future, Is unknown and uncertain in all of its glory You have a choice in both, all in an attempt at Release.
