Every morning I wake up hopeful that today will be the day I will get up, get out and be productive. My depression is so crippling that by mid afternoon I'm still in my nightgown, sitting in a recliner and watching tv. I am not even able to care for myself. Day after day after day. This warrior is wearing out. I'm hopeless and defeated.

Sorry you are struggling so much. It is so hard to force yourself to get up and do things, especially when you feel so low.

Would it help maybe to not put so much pressure on yourself? Maybe instead of trying to get out and be productive you could start just by getting dressed by midday. See how that goes for a bit and then add in showering/taking care of yourself. It might make it less overwhelming for you?

I'm sorry you're feeling so depressed. Are you on medication?
Thanks for this!

I can relate to this very much ,for the last week i have made a deal with myself that I get dressed before I go get my morning coffee an I don't put any pressure on myself to do anything else all morning if I don't feel like it .

If you're on that much medication and still feel so depressed...not good...how's your relationship with your pdoc?
Thanks for this!

It's really good. We usually end up talking for 45 minutes and he is very thorough. I'm glad you brought that up. I see him April 6 and I'm going to tell him my life has become unbearable. Something has to give.

I'm glad you're seeing him soon. A huge plus that you have a good relationship with him. Yes, for sure tell hm how down you're feeling. My guess is that he'll do some med adjustments that will help you.
