I used to have people I could trust. People I could talk to when I was having a particularly bad night.
Now there is no one. And so I go through each day and night feeling completely alone. I don't know if it's paranoia or logical. But I don't trust. I can't trust. I know I can't get through this on my own. I really wanted this year to be the one where everything goes great and I don't end up in crisis. I guess it's not to be. I wish everything would just stop. Why can't it just stop?

I feel for you. Loneliness is one of the most devasting things when we need be with others. Sorry, I did not understand if you are lonely because people abandoned you or because you don't trust anyone.

A mixture of the two. Some people are just not there anymore. And the others betrayed my trust making it really hard for me to trust anyone. I thought I moved on and got over it but for now my lack of trust seems to be bigger than ever.

Sometimes, I do not trust people in the sense that I fear they will not care about me as much as I care about them, and it hurts
