I just took this quiz

65 - severe Depression

(Share results anyone who is interested.. although this likely won't help me as I can't take meds )

(It said to consult doctor.. been there..maybe again soon )

The last doctor I spoke to asked how I'd been getting on..I said "not too bad"..

The doctor said "good"

I guess I "like to please them"

The opposite is too painful and has been "futile"

Also I'm "avoidant" and really don't like putting this stuff out there

Any stuff really

Feel exposed and vulnerable.

Opposite action,

Even breathing feels like "opposite action"

Only one person "brave" enough to reply so far?

Thank you crimsoncat, I appreciate your reply and I'm sorry your depression is so severe (from posts I'm not surprised please don't take that as an insult, you're strong to still be here, to be breathing..)

I think I underplayed my results, I usually do ..

We each have our issues. I wish I had it in me to make everything better. For you, for me, for everyone on here. heh. Sometimes it feels like I can't even get through the day though .

Fuzzy--I am sorry you got a 65; my score was 13 because I have recovered to a great extent from the severe depression I once had. Though it took me a while to really admit some of the things that troubled me most, I think "confessing" about some of the things that really were bothering me on PC was one piece of my recovery. (Or maybe I was able to confess more as I became less depressed? A lot of my depression was fueled by guilt and shame.) It is unfortunate that you cannot take medications because I think medication also helped me feel better. You have said you are allergic. Have you tried more than one? I sure wish you could find a more understanding doctor. Even in the US, there are not enough of them to help everyone who is in need.

I don't know if they make ear plugs for bears, but I never go anywhere without a pair of foam earplugs. Earplugs are an essential item in my "self-care kit".

I do that too, the pleasing. Unconsciously, it's like I'm programmed. I guess I am programmed. I'd been working on that, not to be a "people pleaser". It threw me into a strange state of becoming very reactive and angry...

Anyhow, I just want to say that I can relate...

[INDENT]My score just now is 59. I looked at my history. It doesn't change much over 2 years. I also minimize how I feel at the Dr office and with others. Because pride- need to be strong enough? Introversion, fear, for sure.

I'm too depressed to take the quiz. Does that mean I score a 90?

*pause* It's funny but it's not funny at the same time.
