Hi everyone.
I'm very stressed out right now. And as we know, stress and depression don't mix well. What do you do to cope with stress? Do you have any specific strategies? |

I pay attention to my breathing to keep it even and full.

I'll usually spend time on my own… And sometimes listen to music which calms me.

Hello & Welcome, D-a-n. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and I've become stress-intolerant.
My counter-stress toolbox includes: prescribed meds carefully guarding my sleep routine diaphragmatic breathing (see *Laurie*'s post) isolating myself when necessary (see DaX15's post) foam earplugs when necessary probably a few other things of general health import.

Being more assertive with a sleep schedule...that's something I can do. |

Hi Dan!
My strategies: 1) Physical activity like running, swimming, etc... That make the muscles tired and it becomes more easy to sleep (but please don't do that before bedtime). 2) Slow down some time before bedtime, drink a cup of herbal tea, warm cocoa ... The warm drink (no alcohol) will help your body to relax and come into sleeping mood. 3) Relaxation exercises. There are plenty to choose among at Youtube. 4) Regular meals and small breaks during the day! Good luck! ![]() |
