I'm experiencing the worst apathy in my life. Today was my exam and i couldn'nt even get up from the bed for it and i ended up lying down in the bed till eveing doing nothing, i just could'nt get myself. And failing is the last thing i want but i still cant get the work done when the time comes.
So how do i even get myself to change this.... This apathy has going on for few weeks and i really cant get out of it. Any suggestions ?

I remember getting huge anxiety for final exams. What I did was just study as much as I could, and let go and know there was nothing more I could do.. I did try taping myself to listen to the most important parts of what I needed to learn, and listen to it before going to bed. Seemed to help. Sorry I don't know anything else, apathy sucks. Welcome to Psych Central, hope you benefit from being here. More people will be along to answer your thread.

I'm so sorry I can relate. Do you see a therapist? Do you take meds?

I hope you are seeing professional. My doctor could offer me something to make me relaxed and ease anxiety before exam. My antidepressant is giving me some motivation. It is still hard, but at least, with help of my therapist and meds, I can go to school and I did not miss any class this semester. Get as much help as you need.

I understand completely. You're not alone. I typically move from the bed to the recliner and back to the bed. Nothing gets accomplished. Can you talk to the teacher whose exam you missed?

I know how you feel. Just getting up out of bed to start the day can be incredibly difficult for me.
