I have been on Zoloft for almost ten years. I went to my psychiatrist and was told I should switch to Viibryd. I don't want to take it.
I have read about the side effects of nausea and diarrhea. I can't have that! I need to be at work and I also stand all day at work. I can't be running to bathroom. I also took Zoloft way back and withdrew off of it. It was awful!!! I think I took a year to withdraw gradually and I still had side effects for months later!! I even told myself I would NEVER take antidepressants again after that!! Then I had to move in with relative and was extremely stressed and that is why I am still on it. I am basically taking Zoloft just so I don't have to deal with withdrawal. And how could I just stop cold turkey and take another drug??? Won't I be all messed up and sick with side effects???

I took Viibryd for two weeks in 2015. I was on day ten and I had dizziness and BP 185/108 but 12 lead ekg and enzymes were okay so I decided to stop taking it. I was under unusual stress because I was staying at a hospital seven hours from home where my dad was in the ICU with septic shock and was not expected to live. I am sure it works well for some people but I am not one of them.
