It came to my mind that everything and everyone on this earth has a purpose. Sometimes we struggle to find our purpose, but we all have a divine purpose on this earth and everything and everybody has something to contribute. I was observing the blackberry bush in my backyard. It is not pretty or attractive. It has thorns. Frankly, it looks like a big weed. But it produces very tasty berries this time of year. As a child I remember collecting blackberries and my grandmother would make a tasty blackberry cobbler out of them. I have observed pecan trees. They are not very pretty and their leaves do not produce a pretty fall color. But they produce a very tasty nut that can be eaten as is or used in so many recipes.
So it is with us. Some of us may wonder why we are here. But we all serve to make the world a better place somehow just with our presence. We may think we are useless but we are not. Everyone is special. ![]() |

Nice to see you back. Very good analogy. It's something that I have to be reminded of at times.
